THE
LAST CALL

There are many people on earth who think
that they can go right on living just like they please and pass the
chance to get born again up as many times as they choose, reasoning
within themselves that they will repent of their sins before it is too
late. Unfortunately, for them most will wait until it is too late. My
dear friend, as you read this tract, please, with all diligence, pray
and seek the face of God as He leads and deals with your heart. Let me
tell you about three different stories of people who got THE LAST CALL.
Some took heed to the message and repented of their sins while others
went on in their sin and turned a deaf ear to THE LAST CALL and died
lost. HOW WILL IT BE WITH YOUR SOUL?
I remember how it was with me. I
had repented of my sins and felt the call to preach while I was just in
grade school. My folks soon quit church, so I found myself back out in
the world in a sinful condition. Still God, would deal with me, but I
would always say no to God. This is a dangerous thing to do, but it is
what I did. Many different times while I was growing up God would send
His Spirit by to deal with me, but I would always say NO! Several years
passed by and I was in high school. I started going to church but they
were so worldly that I just fit right in with them without being born
again. It was the same while I was in college. I went to church just
like millions of Americans do each week, but I WAS LOST! I was still
lost without God. Today, I no longer fit in with these worldly church
folks because I really did converted from a life of sin and shame and
worldliness. Finally, the Spirit of God moved on me and pleaded with
me. I promised to live for God and preach His Word, but I wanted to
finish my first year at college and then fully turn my life over to
God. This was very foolish of me for putting God off since I now know
that God was trying to give me His best, but I was so hooked on a steady
diet of the Hellish Rot and slop of the world that I wanted to put God
off a little longer. If I had just surrendered then, God would have
spared me many hurtful heartaches and bad scars on my life. We, as
human beings, have the privilege of setting many dates and appointments,
but God has reserved the right of setting at least two dates, and we had
ALL BETTER TAKE HEED TO THEM. He has set the date and time when you
will die and be judged.
The great day finally came when I
promised God that I would turn my life over to Him. The Spirit of God
moved on me and again I said NO! The devil had been for months trying
to get me to kill my own self which would have doomed my poor soul to
hell. God began to deal with me differently now, and He started by
pouring His wrath out upon me. Everything went wrong for me, and
finally I had worried about this condition so long that I came down with
ulcers real bad. The medical doctor could not help me but Jesus could!
I was so low that I had to turn to Him. He dealt with me one night
while I was out on a date. The Spirit of the Living God dealt with me
so strongly that I began to cry. He dealt with me that it was MY LAST
CALL! He wanted me to live for Him and preach Holiness or Hell. If I
refused God could always find someone else. It really woke me up as I
had to choose between Jesus or the world. Holiness or worldliness,
heaven or hell. I took my date home and went to the church where I was
attending at the time and poured out my heart to God on the door steps.
Later on, in the middle of the night I went to some friend’s house where
I finally surrendered my life to the will of God and He granted me true
repentance. It scares me today to think of what might have happened to
me if I had not heeded THE LAST CALL.
There are others who have received
THE LAST CALL from God. Some took it, while others rejected it, and
today they are according to God’s Word, (The KJV Bible) in the flames of
hell instead of shouting with the saints of God.
One of my preacher friends told me
of a true story of a man that used to come to a church that he had
pastored many years ago. The man did not seem to be interested in
spiritual matters very much, so the pastor asked him about it. The mans
reply is one that ought to ring in the ears and hearts of a lot of
people today (even church folk). He said, “I started out for God, and
He told me to put my snuff upon the shelf (not to use it any more).
Things went well until I took the snuff back down off of the shelf and
then God put me up on the shelf.” What a terrible thing for someone to
choose the world over God and His lifestyle of Holiness. The preacher
said that to his knowledge that this man lived to be an old man but DIED
IN THIS CONDITION (on the shelf by the hand of God). Has God dealt with
you with His voice or His Word about something in your life? You could
find yourself rejected by the Spirit of God like this man did. Please
be obedient to Jesus and His Word (the Bible).
There is one more group of
people that I feel led to write about that received many calls from God,
but there can a day when they received their LAST CALL! When they
rejected it, they soon found out that it was their LAST CALL and that
they had waited TOO LATE! The people of the world had multiplied to the
point that there were a lot of people on the earth. God looked down and
saw that their minds were on evil continually. The people of that time
had gone so far from God and His ways that He decided to destroy the
whole world with a flood. He looked the whole earth over, and it had
been defiled, all except one man. This man was named Noah, and He found
grace in the eyes of Lord. He was a preacher of righteousness and was
very different from all of the other preachers that lived in his time.
He was a Holiness Preacher without a doubt. God told Noah about the
great flood (which modern science has confirmed really happened) and
that He would save Noah and his family in a big Ark (a big boat) that
Noah would have to build. Noah began the great building project because
HE HAD FAITH IN GOD AND BELIEVED HIS WORD, that judgment was coming upon
this sin sick world. Noah’s day was not any worse than our own, and the
few real men of God that have not backslidden or watered the gospel down
are still preaching and blowing the trumpet in ZION warning both small
and great because the judgments of God are about to be poured out on
THIS GENERATION like never before seen. Real men of God still have
faith in God and His Word too. They are still preaching the old time
gospel straight and loud, crying out to the people to REPENT OR PERISH!
The time to REPENT IS NOW for the Bible says in Second Corinthians 6:2B
“Behold, NOW is the accepted time; behold, NOW is the day of
SALVATION.” The difference between Noah and the people of the world
around him was that Noah believed God and had FAITH in His Word. Noah
built the ark, and I am sure that He continued to preach and warn the
people of the judgment of God that was coming as we today are continuing
to warn both small and great about their sins. They laughed and
mocked. They scoffed and made fun. They DID NOT HEED THE CALL UNTIL IT
WAS TOO LATE!
Finally, the ark was finished, and
God told Noah to go inside with His family and all of the animals. When
they were all safe inside of the ark, GOD SHUT THE DOOR! IT WAS TOO
LATE! The folks outside were still mocking and making fun when the sky
grew dark with clouds and it begin to rain. Please remember that it had
never before rained on the earth, so IT TOOK REAL FAITH IN GOD FOR NOAH
TO BELIEVE. It was not long before the people began to believe when
they were able to see with their eyes. Noah, just like the men of Faith
today, could see with his heart. The Bible says that we walk not by
sight but by FAITH! Can you just picture in your mind the water getting
deeper and deeper and the scoffers and mockers were no converted
believers as they scratched and beat on the ark, BUT IT WAS TOO LATE!
They begged for mercy and pleaded to get inside but they had waited TOO
LATE to get inside. They now would give anything and everything that
they had to get aboard the ark so they could be saved, but they had
waited TOO LATE to change their lives and live for God. All that they
had to do before was to believe and to repent, but they refused their
LAST CALL and then it was TOO LATE! The Bible says, “BY FAITH YE
STAND.”
It rained for forty days and forty
nights and every living thing upon the earth was drowned BECAUSE OF THE
PEOPLES SIN! It was, and still is, a high price to pay for sin! They
had a chance but they refused their many calls. One day they found out
that they had gotten their LAST CALL and that it was TOO LATE! I plead
with you, dear reader, with the presence of the Living God upon me as I
write this to you, asking you one more time on behalf of God, to REPENT
OF YOUR SINS and turn to God while there is still time. When God deals
with you, please seek Him with all of your heart, for God said, “My
Spirit will not always strive with man.” “He is long suffering to
usward not willing that any (that is to you, too) should perish…” Please
turn to God today.
You don’t have to die in your sins
and be lost and go to hell when you can heed God’s call and REPENT OF
YOUR SINS TODAY! This tract was written with Divine sanction, and the
burden has been real as I was asleep when the Spirit of God woke me up
to write this warning to you. Somebody reading this tract may very well
be getting their LAST CALL! IT MAY BE YOU. Please turn to God if you
do not feel Him dealing with you then you really need to pray for sure,
that He will move on your heart. REMEMBER, “GOD IS THE REWARDER OF THEM
THAT DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM!” REMEMBER, there is a prayer for everyone,
“Come into my heart Lord Jesus.” I am reminded of that old time
holiness camp meeting song. All that I remember of it is this: “PLEASE
DON’T LET THAT DOOR OF MERCY CLOSE ON YOU.” Dear friend, Jesus is
calling to you today! Will you take heed?
Dear Reader, I encourage you to
consider the destiny of your soul. Jesus is calling to you today dear
friend and many people are praying for the readers of these tracts.
Since Jesus is calling to You, why don’t you call out to Him today.
You’ll be glad you did. Here is how: (1) CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD
JESUS CHRIST. Isaiah 55:6 says, “Seek ye the Lord while He may be
found, call ye upon Him while He is near.” CONFESS and REPENT OF YOUR
SINS. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Luke 13:3 says, “I tell you, nay: but, except you REPENT, ye shall all
likewise perish.” God used the Apostle Peter to preach and reveal the
only true plan of salvation on the day of Pentecost. It is found in the
Bible in Acts chapter TWO. He preached in verse number 38 “REPENT.” He
preached and commanded them all to “BE BAPTIZED EVERYONE OF YOU
in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins.” There is
something wrong with any persons experience with God when they will do
everything in the name of Jesus except get baptized in His name. SEE
ACTS 4:12 and COLOSSIANS 3:17. He went on to preach that “YE SHALL
RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST.” Dear friends, this is what it is
going to take to make it to heaven when your life is over. I encourage
you to seek God today in prayer and look to Him with all your heart
because this could very well be your LAST CALL from God.
